25

I need some blog content so, here is my list of 25 things that some people may not know about me:

1. These days a typical breakfast for me consists of a peanut butter and granola bar and a cup of hot tea.

2. But breakfast is my favorite meal and if I had my druthers, I’d eat a big breakfast first thing in the morning and forsake all other meals.

3. I never knew bromance until I met Brad Allen.

4. My heroes are Carl Sagan, Steve Jobs and Orson Welles.

5. I am a Japanese anime geek, but only if the anime was created in the late seventies or mid-nineties.

6. I lost alot of weight about two years ago, so if you see me wearing an old shirt from 1998, I’m not being ironic, I'm just being cheap.

7. I have DVD copies of every episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, in a special cabinet. Soon I will have digital copies as well.

8. I get most of my music and TV show recommendations from Scott Miles.

9. I think websites are too dependant on lists instead of substantiative content.

10. See number 9.

11. I've flown a plane, briefly. I don't feel that I did a good job.

12. I minored in computer science.

13. Astronomer is my fallback career.

14. I had a childhood friend that died of a brain aneurism, that's what originally informed my current "live for today" attitude.

15. I spend a disproportionate amount of time in stores looking around and not buying anything.

16. I found porno magazines in the empty lot two doors down from my parents house. I took them for a couple of hours and neatly hid them again. The next day they were gone. -- I was 27 at the time.

17. I was intensely depressed after my employer's Christmas party one year. I vowed never to be like those guys.

18. There aren't enough hours in the day for me. I typically get between 4-5 hours of sleep and make up the rest on weekends.

19. I never think of how my job can help me, but rather in terms of how I can exploit my job.

20. My idea of a romantic getaway is Johnson Space Center.

21. I have a file of odd snipets of dialog and story ideas on my desktop. One of my fears is that someone finds my laptop, opens the file and thinks, "Who is this psycho?"

22. The best song is Under Pressure by Queen f. David Bowie. Alternatively Imagine by John Lennon is pretty good too.

23. I am part of a secret cabal of people that, even now, are working from within to overthrow the system.

24. I played a paper-and-dice role playing game once. Once.

25. Linear time vexes me constantly, one day I hope to break it's constraints.

* For the sake of comedy I may have embellished some of these items.
